Sole Maps

The Sole Map is a new form I have been using during my PFA residency. Some years ago I asked a friend to draw a map of a walk on their feet and then photograph themselves along the route. Here the soles become a map for two walks.

Here and There: these ideas can be interpreted in a number of ways but, for me:

Here is where you walk now.

There is where you have walked, would like to walk, or some experience or imagination of all that is not present.

To make your own sole map you will need an A3 sheet of paper, a pen or pencil, and 2 feet.
